Congratulations to the incredible team at NoiseFigure Research and the University of Washington, Seattle, for their recent publication in the IEEE Journal on Flexible Electronics!
“Screen-Printed Flexible Antennas for 24-GHz ISM Band and mmWave Applications”

This work showcases a breakthrough in additive manufacturing of flexible antennas using screen-printed copper conductive inks. The team successfully designed and fabricated antennas—including straight dipoles, meandering dipoles, and circular disk monopoles—on substrates like polyimide, glass, and alumina ribbon ceramics (ARCs), achieving impressive resolution (50 μm width/spacing) at high printing speeds (10,000 mm²/s).
A fantastic example of innovation at the intersection of flexible electronics, millimeter wave communication, and advanced manufacturing.
